LED Grow Light Sales Surging

Hydroponic equipment dealers are reporting sales of LED grow lights "heating up" with  KIND LED Grow Light sales surging, saving indoor growing enthusiasts up to 40% on their power usage!

These award-winning KIND LED Grow Lights are made of the newest LED and growing technology and give growers the best bang for their grow light buck.

Over more traditional HID lamp setups, KIND LED lights use less power and create much less heat, also saving on air conditioning and ventilation costs. The early consensus was that no LED grow light system could ever come close to the high yields of HID lamps, either Metal Halide (MH) or High Pressure Sodium (HPS). Well now that grams/watt records are being broken, many are taking a second look.

1000 Watt Metal Halide Hydroponics Grow Light Bulb LampLED lights have come a long way in just a year or two. Newer ones use COB  (Chip On Board) technology which allows a much brighter light with perfectly tailored light spectrums in one ideal, low heat, and easy to use unit. Customers have had an overwhelmingly positive response to these new lights. Because LED lamps provide usable light at both ends of the plant growing spectrum, there is no need to change lights between vegetative and flowering stages.

Power savings aside, many report better harvests and colors using these special bulbs. They also report fewer heat issues as many plants cannot tolerate high temperatures for long periods. One thing of note is that growers report that in side by side experiments, LED lit plants consume more water. The reason isn't clear, but I suspect that the added light spectrums reach into the plant and create more growth.

When it comes to the energy saved, the LED lights included in such best-selling cabinets as the SuperCloset Deluxe LED 3.0 draw 40% less energy than their HPS equivalents.  Indoor gardeners are now free of any concerns for needing specially designed cooling
systems for their grow lights or a need to change bulbs when moving between vegetation and flowering stages.  Plug it in, set your timer and you are good to grow.

While it is true that LED lamps cost more, sometimes a lot more than HID lamps, cost savings can add up on the backside. Lower utility bills, higher yields, fewer components and more stable temperatures can more than make up for the difference in cost.

LED lights are here to stay, at least until the next hydroponic breakthrough. Be sure to subscribe to our Facebook page to learn more.
